Japanese Sedge Everillo
A beautiful dwarf sedge for even the smallest garden, Carex oshimensis Everillo is a small, clump-forming, evergreen grass, whose leaves emerge lime-green, gradually turning golden yellow as the seasons progress. In April and May, light to deep brown spikelets, 3”/7.6cm long, are borne on slender 6”/15cm stems. The lime-green colour of Japanese sedge Everillo in spring is very good with the deep plum and purple of tulips, or the blue of other spring bulbs.
