Meadowsweet Venusta A cultivar of our native meadowsweet’s American cousin, Filipendula rubra Venusta is a tall, clump-forming, herbaceous perennial for a bog garden or a damp border in larger gardens. The mid-green leaves are palmate (like a grape-vines), about 7”/20cm wide. In late summer it bears beautiful terminal heads of rich pink, candyfloss-like flowers on slender stems. It can spread where it is suited, so choose the site with care. Meadowsweet Venusta holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
