Spurge Fireglow
Known as one of the easiest varieties to grow, Euphorbia griffithii Fireglow is a low growing deciduous perennial producing upright stems of bronze red leaves in Spring, turning green in summer and eventually crimson red in autumn. The exquisite clusters of vivid orange flowers follow in Summer. It will add great colour, texture and form to the border; it's an important source of nectar for bees and butterflies also. Spurge Fireglow is vigorous once settled in, making it a good low maintenance groundcover plant. It also makes good and long lasting cut flowers- dip flower stems in warm water to stop the sap from bleeding.
