Cranesbill Orkney Cherry An attractive little cranesbill, Geranium Orkney Cherry is a small herbaceous perennial with a spreading, clump-forming habit. The soft, lobed leaves are deep green, heavily flushed bronze, and form a dense, ground-covering mat. From May to August, the plant is covered with cerise-pink, open-faced, typical cranesbill flowers. Cut tired leaves and flowering stems back to the base when the first flush of flowers is over to encourage fresh growth and repeat flowering. Cranesbill Orkney Cherry is good at the front of a border, on rockeries or at the top of a wall, where it will hang down gracefully.
