Leatherwood Ballerina
An attractive plant with beautiful, scented flowers, Eucryphia lucida Ballerina is a densely branched, evergreen large shrub, eventually a small to medium-sized tree, with a narrow, columnar habit. Dark green, glossy, oval leaves make a lovely foil to the scented flowers, which appear from May to July. They are 1 ¼”/3cm across, saucer-shaped and shades of pale pink with carmine edges and crimson stamens, very attractive to bees and butterflies. Leatherwood Ballerina holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
