Tingiringi Gum When young, this Eucalyptus bears beautiful small round leaves arranged around each stem, popular among florists. Its mature leaves are long, tough, leathery and 'sickle' shaped. Its smooth grey bark sheds in short ribbons often gathered and used as kindling for fires. It is one of the quickest growing trees for the Irish climate, at over 1m per year. Also a good choice for firewood as it grows at such a fast rate. Best planted in a grove in a large area, Tingiringi Gum trees will really stand out with their tall and narrow habit- otherwise medium gardens can keep it coppiced for its attractive foliage.
