George Alfred Henty (1832 - 1902) was an English novelist, best known for his historical adventure stories for young people. He wrote approximately 144 books, in addition to stories for magazines, and was known as "The Prince of Story-Tellers".   Walter "Wat" Tyler was a leader of the 1381 Peasants' Revolt in England, in which a group of rebels marched from Canterbury to London to oppose the institution of a poll tax and to demand economic and social reforms.
