Agapanthus Fireworks
An award-winning bi-coloured agapanthus or African lily, Agapanthus Fireworks is a compact, evergreen perennial, very striking ranged along the front of a border, or grown in containers; agapanthus do very well in pots, as they flower best with their roots congested. The strap-shaped, evergreen leaves are rich green. In July and August, very big round heads of trumpet-shaped flowers with pure white tips and deep blue bases rise above the clump on strong stems; the flowers are attractive to pollinators. In colder, more exposed areas, provide winter protection, removing any damaged leaves in spring, or keep the plants in pots and bring them in for the winter. Agapanthus Fireworks holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
