Japanese Spirea Anthony Waterer
Grown for its rose-pink flowers in late summer, Spiraea japonica Anthony Waterer is a deciduous shrub of average vigour with a bushy habit. The narrow, lance-shaped leaves are deep green, often variegated with cream and pink. Domed clusters of deep rose-pink flowers appear in late summer. Japanese spirea Anthony Waterer is easy to grow if you have a moist soil; mulch in mid-spring with compost or manure to conserve moisture. Pruning can be carried out in early spring.
