Wait Now! Is an autobiographical account of an extended visit to Ireland by Rachel Knappet, an author from the Lake District in England. It was the follow up to her popular book, A Pullet on the Midden, which described her experiences as a land girl during the Second World War.
After the War, Rachel visited Ireland with no immediate plans and ended up staying in a castle. With plenty of humour, she describes life in Ireland and paints a portrait of the countryside, farms, people and “irishness”, as seen through the eyes of a new-comer.
Published by Michael Joseph in 1952.
Good condition with dust jacket.
