About the Artist
Kevin Sweeney is a Dublin based Graduate Architect and Artist. His work combines his background in Graffiti and Architecture to form abstract geometric compositions with block colour forms and linework.
His piece here is a layered, abstract, geometric composition that frames a short excerpt from the poem ‘Celts & Saxons’ by Thomas Osborne Davis. Sweeney says he chose this excerpt as it represents a spirit of warm-heartedness and empathy that Irish people have for those in suffering. This year has shown that all people are bound together by our shared suffering and these words sum up an attitude we should adopt in celebration of our reliance on one another.
FramingFrames are currently not available from Damn Fine Print but will be available when restrictions allow us to offer in-store collection of framed pieces, which is currently not permitted.
