The Book of Artemas is an amusing, satirical account of the years 1914 – 1918 in Britain during the First World War. Written in a pseudo- Old Testament style, it focuses primarily on the Home front. It is particularly critical of the government leaders of the day, many of whom are only thinly disguised and easily recognisable.    The Book of Artemas was written, using a pseudonym, by Andrew Cassels Brown, who had served as a doctor during the Great War.  Published by W Westall in 1917.  Good condition.
