Iris pseudacorus bastardii is a naturally-occurring colour variant of our native water Iris which is often seen in boggy areas or growing in shallow water at the edge of a pond, this variety has beautiful pale yellow blooms instead of the normal bold yellow. It is also more free-flowering than the standard flag Iris. As with all Iris, the tubers are harmful if eaten. This plant is a great attractor for butterflies and bees
