Producer Profile Donini are one of the Northernmost producers in Veneto and the company is a family owned one. This means that this third generation are more concerned with increasing quality of the grapes they produce rather than increasing profits. The result is a dedicated family owned company that is all about producing lively prosecco that represents Veneto perfectly.  Viticulture Donini is different to other Proseccos for many reasons - The soil that the Glera grapes are grown in is  primarily Limestone and clay, and the climate is a little warmer than other Prosecco producing areas. The result is a Prosecco that is richer and drier than in other areas and this one is full of flavour. It is made in the Frizzante style and it is buttery, with pear, melon and apple flavours. It is crisp, dry and refreshing, which is the style that our market enjoys in Ireland. It is housed in a screw cap closure for maximum freshness, meaning there is not a spago cork style closure on this bottle. Wine making Fermented in stainless steel tanks and concrete vats. Red protocol, fermented with commercial yeast, addition of nutrients. Tasting Note Pale straw-yellow in colour, with a crystal-clear, crisp, lingering beading that conveys intense pear, citrus and white-fleshed fruit nuances. Marvellously fruity, richly floral and superbly fresh on the palate, with a perfectly-balanced texture which combines gentle acidity and a well-orchestrated, lively, creamy fizziness.  Food Matching  Open as Aperitif  or with seafood, smoked Salmon, Lobster or prawns.
