It is an all red collection of some of the very finest wines from France and Italy, with two bottles of each wine included. Champagne Louis Blanc Reims, France2 x 75clChampagne Louis Blanc carries the hallmark expertise of a family legacy stretching back over 3 centuries. First created by a family of the Champagne region, it symbolises an elixir of French good living. Since 1663, successive generations have carried forward the unique passion from this house. This has some age on it and tastes of biscuit and brioche as well as a persistent fresh mousse. Delicious and delicate champagne. La Reserve de Leoville Barton, 2014St Julien, Bordeaux2 x 75cl“Produced from 74% Cabernet Sauvignon, 24% Merlot and 3% Cabernet Franc, the 2014 Léoville Barton possesses considerably more density and intensity (than Langoa). This is a spectacular effort; massively concentrated with huge extract and tannins, yet there is exquisite balance here. Everything is in perfect harmony – initially quite reserved and tight knit with hints of cut flowers and a melting pot of dark berries and minerals. This is very muscular and correct with wave after wave of cassis and cherry stone fruit; a composed and very classy, large-scaled Léoville Barton with inspiring tannins and lots of backbone.” Andrea Bocelli ‘Tenor Red’Tuscany, Italy2 x 75clIn 2006 Andrea Bocelli build an Amphitheatre amongst the vines of his family’s estate and called it the ‘Teatro del Silenzio’ Theatre of Silence. He so named it because the area is silent for 364 days of the year. On one evening each summer, Andrea performs for fans around the world and this wine was named after the theatre and created for the first occasion of it’s opening. Since then, ‘Tenor Red’ has been one of Andrea’s flagship wines. It is aged for 10 months in French oak. It is a blend of 34% Cabernet Sauvignon, 33% Sangiovese and 33% Merlot. Bordeaux fans are sure to love this wine as it is arguably the perfect Italian Bordeaux Blend, with equal parts Cabernet Sauvignon & Merlot, with Sangiovese sharing 33% of the blend. We tried this wine at WineONline.ie HQ two weeks agoi and can tell you it is superb value for money, with delicious texture and richness. It won a Siler Medal at the Texas Wine awards and the 2015 vintage was given 90 points at the world wine championships.Chateau Baron de Boutisse  Saint Emilion Grand Cru, France2 x 75cl The cabernet grape provides great structure and framework for the wine allowing it to be laid down for a period of time while maintaining its complexity during the ageing process. Merlot gives wonderful roundness and charm, and the Cabernet Franc, which comes from the estate‰۪s oldest parcel of vines, adds complexity, finesse and character. These three grape varieties are the distinctive signs of this delicious wine.Chablis La Pierrelee La ChablisienneBurgundy, France2 x 75clA co-operative of almost 300 wine growers in Chablis.
