Shrub Rose Persian Sun
A very pretty, often diminutive, hybrid of Rosa persica with the characteristic persica dark eye, Rosa persica Persian Sun is a small, deciduous, repeat-flowering shrub rose with a compact, dome-shaped habit and glossy, grey-green foliage. From June to October, the plant bears flushes of semi-double, peach-coloured flowers with a deeper eye and golden-yellow stamens; the innermost petals are shorter, giving a very pretty, rather anemone-like effect, and the fragrance is light. Shrub rose Persian Sun is a tough, very healthy rose, and tolerates drought once established. It’s perfect in soil-based compost in a large container, or at the front of a sunny border. Easy to grow and disease-resistant.
