Elder Black Tower
Akin to its relative Black Lace, this is a fast-growing deciduous large shrub or small tree. Sambucus nigra Black Tower has tough, dark purple-black leaves. It flowers in May and June, having strongly scented flat heads of tiny creamy-white flowers with pink flushes throughout. In Autumn, the foliage turns a rich-red colour. A popular flower which is also highly attractive to bees.
