Tulip Purissima - Single Tulip
The large elegant flowers of Tulipa Purissima open palest primrose, maturing through cream to pure white. Broad elongated petals have a warm yellow base. Originating from the steppe area around Samarkand, it has strong stems, resistant to wind and rain, and grey green leaves. This award-winning tulip is an ‘all-rounder’, whether growing in beds, borders or containers. It naturalises easily and comes back year after year, preferring full sun and rich, fertile, well-drained soil. Its long-lasting blooms can be enjoyed from mid-March to mid-April.
