Western Red Cedar Martin
A popular fast growing conifer with olive-green foliage that is tinged green in winter, it is similar to Leylandii but reaches its desired height much more slowly and is much better behaved! Thuja plicata Martin has a narrow, conical form and is often used for hedging. The foliage smells slightly of pineapple when crushed. One or two clippings a year will easily keep it in check.
