Magnolia Peachy
A hybrid magnolia with a most unusual deep pinkish-orange flower colour, pale yellow or cream within, Magnolia Peachy is a fast-growing, medium-sized, deciduous tree with an upright habit when young, later more rounded and spreading. The oval leaves are bright green, a lovely contrast to the flowers. The fragrant flowers appear in April and May; they are initially tulip-shaped, as they appear on the bare branches; as the leaves unfold, the nine tepals spread to more than 8”/20cm across. Hardy to -15ºC, Magnolia Peachy makes a beautiful specimen tree, lovely with peach and cream tulips planted nearby.
