Japanese Anemone Honorine Jobert An old French cultivar and one of the most exquisite Japanese anemones, Anemone x Honorine Jobert is a tough but elegant, herbaceous, clump-forming perennial which flowers for a long period from July to September. The leaves are deep green and very attractively divided, forming good ground cover from quite early in the year. They are good underplanted with ornamental alliums, which flower in early summer, because their developing leaves conceal the withering leaves of the alliums. From mid-summer, beautiful, pure white flowers with golden stamens rise above the clump. Japanese anemones can spread rapidly in a border, and root deeply, so be sure to plant them in the right place. Cut back after flowering. A lovely plant for the back of a border, Japanese anemone Honorine Jobert deservedly holds the RHS Award of Garden Merit.
