Catmint Purrsian Blue
With its low, particularly neat form and very floriferous and long-flowering nature, dwarf catmint Nepeta x faassenii Purrsian Blue makes a lovely addition to even small gardens. It’s a low-growing, deciduous, shrubby perennial with a rounded, clump-forming habit and small, grey-green, highly aromatic leaves. From June to August, dense spikes of periwinkle-blue flowers with deep purple calyces rise above the clump. Very good planted near a path, so that the aromatic quality of brushed and trodden foliage can be appreciated – especially by your cat! Drought-tolerant once established. Shear back spent flowers to stimulate further flowering.
