Daffodil Tête Bouclé
This natural sport of the well-known, super-reliable dwarf daffodil Tête à Tête, Narcissus Tête Bouclé (Curly Head) has fully double flowers, the trumpet also split into many petals. It’s a dwarf daffodil, flowering in early to mid-spring, not quite as early as Tête à Tête. The narrow, sword-shaped leaves are green, the perianth (petals) are golden yellow, with the trumpet-petals a slightly deeper yellow. Daffodil Tête Bouclé can be planted as late as December, but September is far better. Despite its lush, ruffled appearance, it’s a tough little daffodil, and can be naturalised in short grass. Also very good in pots.
