Hybrid Hellebore Angel Glow A hybrid, floriferous hellebore bred by the famous hellebore hybridiser Eric Smith, Helleborus x ericsmithii Angel Glow is a vigorous, evergreen to semi-evergreen clump-forming perennial with a compact, rounded habit. It’s a wonderful small plant for the winter and early spring garden, good with snowdrops. The blue-green to deep green, leathery, deeply lobed leaves set off the flowers beautifully. Pink buds form from late December, and from January to March open to pale pink, cup-shaped flowers, fading to pale green, on reddish brown stems. Remove dead or damaged leaves before flowering, and remove old flowering stems after flowering to encourage good flowering next year.
