Beautiful quick growing deciduous tree with large, lobed leaves which turn fantastic shades of yellow, red and brown in autumn. Native to southern Canada and north and eastern U.S. states. Quercus rubra develops sturdy branches and has fairly smooth greyish-brown or dark grey bark. Great addition for wildlife habitats; prefers lime free soil.
