This medallion is a depiction of the famous meeting between The Pirate Queen, Grace O'Malley and Queen Elizabeth I. When Grace sailed to England and demanded a meeting with the Queen, they spoke in Latin (their common language) in front of the fire and it was said that they hit it off and realised they had a lot in common.
