A coming together of six of our favourite Bordeaux wines. Each and every bottle in this case deserves its place here. Chateau MaCarthy St Estephe is revered as one of the great Wine Geese Wines.  Gold medal-winning Château Jalousie and sumptuously primed Chateau Teyssier Pezat Bordeaux Superieur from Jonathan Malthus. Both offer classic left bank notes of blackcurrant, cedar and cigar box, with the Pezat 2016 boasting extra fresh fruit and the Roc de Levraut a layer of perfectly aged spice, and drinking so well now. Make sure you taste them all!    Chateau La Fleur Cravignac Saint Emilion Grand Cru, France1 x 75cl bottle The cabernet grape provides great structure and framework for the wine allowing it to be laid down for a period of time while maintaining its complexity during the ageing process. Merlot gives wonderful roundness and charm, and the Cabernet Franc, which comes from the estate's oldest parcel of vines, adds complexity, finesse and character. These three grape varieties are the distinctive signs of this delicious wine. Chateau Beausejour Fronsac, Bordeaux, France 1 x 75cl bottle The château Beauséjour belongs to the Sudrat family for five generations. For three generations, transmission has been done by women. Camped at hillside and dominating the loops of the Dordogne, château Beauséjour is located on a watershed which prolongs the hillock of Fronsac towards the North East. On north – east oriented & well sunny sides, the vineyard produces fine & delicate wines.   Pezat Rouge Bordeaux Superieur - Gold Medal International Wine ChallengeBordeaux Superieur1 x 75cl bottleChateau Teyssier are behind this famous red from Bordeaux. Pezat is the brainchild of Jonathan Malthus, owner of Chateau Teyssier who realised he could make outstanding wines if he applied the same high standards of winemaking, using the same equipment as that which he uses for Chateau Teyssier Saint Emilion Grand Cru. The key differentiator would be bringing in grapes from outside of Saint Emilion, which would help keep the cost down, but the quality really high. Pezat is a stone's throw away from the legendary appellation St.-Emilion, where renowned winemaker Jonathan Malthus also makes his Grand Cru Bordeaux. Herein lies a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Franc hand-picked grapes aged in 1/3 new French oak. On the nose, aromas of red and dark berries, toasted notes, and hints of tobacco. Ripe plum, spice, medium acidity, and low tannin. Try pairing with bacon-wrapped anything and pork sausage. Chateau Le Rey - Les Rocheuses Castillon Cotes de BordeauxBordeaux, France1 x 75cl bottleThis wine presented in an unusual bottle for Bordeaux format, reflects a philosophy of terroir as found in Burgundy. Of great purity with wonderful deep fruit and balance. The flavours of liquorice and berries will make you discover the complexity of its terroir. Aromas of blackberry, blueberry and hazelnut. Its roundness is characterized by polished tannins.  Charles Beylot Pauillac Pauillac, France1 x 75cl bottleCharles Beylot, owner of prestigious Chateaux in the Saint-Emilion region during the 19th century, was one of the key players in the development and success of Horeau-Beylot, wine merchant founded in 1740 and whose ninth generation is now leading its destiny. Sorting of the grapes at the mechanical table, traditional vinification in vats. Beautiful deep and brilliant purple colour. On the nose, it's a surprising explosion of fruits such as raspberry and blackcurrant as well.  Chateau Jalousie Beaulieu "Cuvee Prestige"Bordeaux, France1 x 75cl bottleThe powerful, rich and refined nose is distinguished by notes of ripe black fruit (blackcurrant) and woody notes. The fruity and intense palate reveals notes of blackcurrant and Morello cherry. Woody touches enhance the ripe fruit and give this wine a beautiful length.
