In order to receive the Bordeaux Superieur label the wine growers have to adhere to strict rules and regulations. Here are two wines from Chateau wineries that we work closely with. We have been importing Chateau Roc de Levraut for the last 7 years and the winemaker and owner Remy Ballerin is meticulous for his quality standards. Alaine Besette of Chateau Verriere spends most of his time in the vineyard as he believes the wine starts there and that is where he put all of his focus.  Chateau Roc De Levraut, Bordeaux Superieur The wine is full bodied and very balanced with super concentration of fruit and savory. On the nose you will get Cassis straight away followed by aromas of buttered toast, blackcurrants, toffee and also some leather at the end. It is a super food wine because of the super balanced tannins and acidity. Chateau La Verriere Bordeaux Superieur In this wine you are getting a Chateau bottled wine which means that means that it is only handled by the team at the Chateau and is bottled on site.Like the other wine in this box it has ripe, plump and juicy fruits with some chocolate and savoury notes at the end.The concentration is fantastic and the balance is superb. Food Pairings: Would be similar to the previous wine .You could put a beef or root vegetable casserole in there also.
