It will work wonderfully well with Turkey at Christmas dinner as a result. Following this is the wonderful flavours of spicy plum, cherry and blackberry that flow through the mouth, resulting in an approachable fruit driven wine with a smooth and mouth filling finish. It is nicely balanced with great fruit characters and persistent flavours. It retails at over €15 per bottle and you will instantly taste why. It is made by one of the tiniest producers in Rioja who focus all of their energies on quality rather than quantity. My how they have succeeded with this stunning Rioja.    Chateau Roc de Levraut Bordeaux Bordeaux, France 1 x 75clThe Main Course Red This wine comes out of the glass firing on all cylinders with a plethora of crushed black fruits, attractive notes of black cherries, blueberries, loganberries, minty freshness, oak references, mocha and milk chocolate. It’s an attractive nose that continues to present pleasant black fruits for as long as your nose is in the glass. There is even more wonderful black fruit character coming through when you taste it. with layers of juicy black currants, huckleberries, crushed elderberry fruit and underlying oak references, coffee and lacy minerals. The midpalate is fine and balanced with lots of structure, that mint note and the tannins are kept in check through the finish, which is again rich in black fruits and even a hint of spiciness. A superb, lingering after-mouth with pure black currant juice lasts for well over 30 seconds. I really like this one. Watch how it opens after hours and hours and enjoy it with Christmas Dinner it is succulent and juicy and made for roast Turkey!   Domaine de Montine 'Secrets de Terroir' Cotes du Rhone Grignan des Adhemar, Rhone, France  1 x 75cl The Cheeseboard Red This smooth, plump Cotes du Rhone wins pride of place as one of our best wines of the year. We love its combination of vanilla-infused flavour from high-quality oak ageing and vibrant red-fruit notes. It will be wonderful with soft cheeses and blue cheeses too.
