Present owner and winemaker Albert Wiedemann and his wife took over the family winery in the year 1972. Since 2008 all wines are organically grown according to Bioland standards. The decision towards organic farming came as a consequence of Albert Wiedemann falling ill and him being told by his doctor that his illness had been caused by pesticides. Wiedemann‘s wines are particularly low in histamines and therefore most suitable for anyone with allergic tendencies. Since 2013 all wines are vegan friendly.
