The estate was divided after the French Revolution into smaller plots. The Pomerol vineyard is planted to 70% Merlot , 25% Cabernet Franc and 5% Cabernet Sauvignon in a single parcel, which is uncommon in Pomerol. The vines are on average, 30 years of age. But they have old vines that with some vines being much older, having survived the frost of 1956.  Tasting Note: Jeannie Cho Lee Vibrant perfume of dark ripe berries and violets. Flavours range from ripe black fruits, plums to red berries. Sturdy/firm tannins that are dense and will take a long time to open. Nice finish with potential to age/cellar. Robert Parker - Wine Advocate This potentially outstanding, dark ruby/plum-tinged 2008 reveals notes of caramel, cedarwood, herbs, earth, foresty and red as well as black fruits, excellent to outstanding density and medium body. The tannins remain elevated so this offering will benefit from 2-4 years of bottle age. It should last for 15+ years Food Matches: Beef, Lamb Soft Cheese
