Beautiful work by a local artist.  1. SPANISH ARCHThe Spanish Arch was built in 1584 but is an extension of the 12th century Norman-built town wall. I housed soldiers who kept watch and manned cannons on the roof. It became known as the Spanish Arch in medieval times as Spanish galleons selling wine and spice often docked there.2. THE LONG WALKThe Spenish Arch leads to a row of houses built in the 1880’s called the Long Walk. 3, THE CLADDAGH RINGThe Claddagh ring is a traditional Irish ring which represents love, loyalty and friendship. It originated in the Claddagh village in the 1700’s.   4. THE CLADDAGH SWANSThe Claddagh has one of the largest swan populations in Europe. This artwork was created by hand using a fine liner and ink on paper. It was professionally scanned and printed in Galway on high quality 270 gram, FSC certified, acid free paper. This print is A3 (297x420mm) and will fit in an off the shelf frame. It is signed by the artist.
