This French Chateau design with a jet black finish. A handmade reproduction based on original French Antique furniture design from the flamboyant Louis XIV period. Made from a medium grade mahpogany timber, sourced from forests which are all part of regeneration programmes. Some of the larger panels in certain items are made from medium density fibreboard to ensure complete stability in all environments. The seven-stage finishing programme includes hand sanding, filling, sealing, painting, distressing, antique ageing and final sealing. Most of the special techniques come from France and Italy and are replicated from the original methods handed down from Craftsman to Craftsman. These carvers are amongst the most skilled in this field throughout the world.
