Unusual clay statement earrings, formed by hand from hand mixed cold porcelain clay which was colored in small batches to vibrant warm colours. These eye popping earrings form part of a small batch of two sets. I hand mix cold porcelain clay and color the clay in small batches before creating small inlay patterns in contrasting colors. In this case, small flowers were cut from varying colors of clay and pressed into the base layer of orange clay. They are then formed into irregular squiggle shaped bars. The finished clay pieces are carefully hand painted in iridescent varnish to protect against moisture before being hung from a simple gold plated ear wire.
