Unusual sea urchin clay earrings. These earrings are for the true ocean lovers. They are created from hand mixed cold porcelain clay, with no hand tools used. I spend many hours combing beaches on the east coast of Ireland for all sorts of treasures the ocean deposits there. Finding a shard of sea urchin is always a highlight. They are so rare and always tease my imagination into envisioning what the shell would have looked at in its entirety. So these earrings celebrate the broken bits of urchin. They were a labor of love. Insanely time consuming to paint and will probably never be repeated. Only 3 pairs were made. No two pieces are alike. Simply hung from a silver plated ear wire and lightly glazed, they will ship in a gift box for the ocean lover in your life.
