Oak barrel maturation is one of the most important factors in producing world class whiskeys.  These home maturation barrels can be used to add classic oak characteristics to any white spirits. They are available in a variety of smaller sizes which are suitable for home or small business spirit maturation. They are manufactured by our third generation French cooperage partners.  French oak is known for it's high tannin levels compared to other oak types and can add flavour and spice to new make spirits in relatively short time. The barrels have a level 2 toasting on the interior with hoops made from galvanized steel. They have a quality finish and come with an oak stand and a wooden spigot. They are not only a beautifully hand crafted product but will also allow you to explore the world of spirit maturation at your own pace.
