Upcycling furniture is very popular - but how do you get started?  Joan will guide you through the process of upcycling a tired and boring chair into something fresh and fancy using chalk paint, wax and fabric during this fun filled workshop. She'll even supply the chair! The course will cover topics such as health and safety when working, use of power tools, preparation of surfaces, different paint finishes, how to recover the seat. If you wish to have a particular fabric, bring it along! The class size is small and there is plenty of space for social distancing. Participants may however prefer to wear face masks or face shields. Date: Saturdays 25th February and 4th March  Time: 2 - 6pm each day. Venue: The Church Hall, Dundalk Presbyterian Church, Jocelyn St. Dundalk. Price: €90 Price includes all materials, a chair to take home and refreshments Booking is essential either by prepaying for the course online or by paying a deposit of €30 in the shop and the balance on the commencement of the course.
