The Crafty Rock
Cross stitch is a form of counted thread embroidery that has been around for ages, and it is one of the easiest forms of hand embroidery to learn. Cross stitch is comprised of X-shaped stitches done on fabric with an even and open weave like Aida or linen. Designs can be traditional or modern or anywhere in between. In this class you will choose one of our Stitchlet kits and tutor Gillian will show you how to transform the blank fabric into a picture which can be framed in the card supplied. Once you have the basic techniques a whole new world of craft is open to you. Class size will be small with plenty of room to social distance. Participants will be required to wear face coverings. Minimum number of 5 required for class to form. In case of cancellation your booking deposit (€20) is retained unless a replacement is found. Date: Saturday 19th September 10 - 12.30pm Venue: Blackrock Community Centre, Sandy Lane.
