This atmospheric Irish landscape painting was inspired by a scene near where I grew up in Co.Wexford in the south east of Ireland. While I get my inspiration from the Irish landscape I do like to experiment with colour and texture and let the painting dictate the next move as it progresses.  I painted it using plastic knives, pallet knives, scrapers and cloths as well as brushes to add texture and then work back into the surface.
