Twilight Together is Ruth Medjber's heart-swelling photographic project that took place while we were all confined to our homes this spring and summer. She set herself a simple task of photographing people at twilight standing at the window of their homes. What started out as a personal project documenting the lives of friends from a distance, it rapidly gained media traction and international attention. RTÉ even ended up using the concept to launch their autumn/winter schedule and it has been shortlisted for the An Post Irish Book Awards. For Twilight Together, Ruth visited 150 homes including houseboats, castles, caravans and apartments ( including that of our very own Jennie). She has delivered one of the essential and uplifting portraits of Ireland in 2020. This book shows how real creativity can come out of challenging times, and it encapsulates the shared sense of unity that was so prevalent during a turbulent time.
