LOCATION: Ballymoney, Co Antrim, Northern Ireland. One of the most historic and iconic locations in Ireland, the famous Dark Hedges is an imposing avenue of 18th century beech trees, of which only 90 of the original 150 planted now survive. Captured in September, with the early autumn colours glowing in the golden light of sunrise as the mist drifted through these ancient trees, I waited until the sunlight caught the gnarled intertwining branches that towered above me.
