The Cushendale 5th generation family business has been producing the highest quality Irish textiles since 1778 and their latest offering is a real testiment to that heritage. The Irish Wool “Kilkenny” striped throw is made from the fleece of local ‘Galway’ sheep, blended with lambswool so make it wonderfully soft to the touch. Every step of the process is undertaken in the mill in Gragnamanagh in Co. Kilkenny where the raw fleece is carded, spun, dyed, designed, woven and finished. The beautiful colours are inspired by the surrounding landscape contrasting plain undyed wool with flecks of contrasting colour, the fabric has a brushed finish and an incorporated fringe. Spot cleaning with cold water and mild detergent suds is possible if carried out by dabbing the fabric i.e. not rubbing the fabric.
