The Montine estate has been a family property of the Monteillet brothers for 3 generations. The property is located on the site of one of the farms of the castle of Grignan which belonged to the family of Madame la Marquise de Sévigné in the Southern Rhône Valley in the town of Grignan.   Domaine de Montine St Joseph 2019 Lively ruby red colour. Intense aromatics of red raspberry and liquorice. Allow it to breathe for 15 minutes and it will reward you with raspberry, cherry, tobacco and orange peel flavours on a body that is medium in weight with soft tannins. Over the course of the tasting they evolve towards notes of scrubland and spices. On the palate, this wine of character displays a beautiful roundness, supported by a silky structure and a perfectly balanced and fresh finish.
