Beautiful Deutzia
A lovely shrub with its bell-shaped flowers, Deutzia pulchra is a fast-growing, deciduous shrub with a bushy, rather upright habit and flaking bark. The lance-shaped leaves are mid-green and slightly powdery. Pretty, pendant panicles of flowers, in delicate shades of pink and white, open from May to June. Best grown against a warm wall. Prune lightly after flowering, then feed and mulch. Keep well watered. Otherwise, this is an easy, low-maintenance shrub.
