To mark Whiskey Distillery’s 17 years in business and a momentous year for the Walsh family with the commissioning of the Distillery at Royal Oak – Bernard and Rosemary Walsh are releasing a highly exclusive expression of The Irishman whiskey.The Irishman 17 Year Old is a superlative Single Malt from a single cask resulting from 17 years maturation in a first fill Sherry Butt. The signet of this exceptional 17 Year Old is its rich deep flavour of great warmth. Tasting Notes: Nose -  Shows some refined sherry cask influence suggesting balance finesse. Aromas of dried apricots, exotic fruits, toasted spices, citrus peel, candied fruits and marshmallows. Palate -  Powerful at full strength with some delicious spice and oak flavours to start. As it evolves in the mouth the flavours become fruitier with dried citrus peel, apricot, exotic fruits and cinnamon.  Finish -  The finish is long and spicy with a touch of grippy tannin from the oak.
