Azalea Northern Hi-Lights A deciduous azalea, Rhododendron (AK) Northern Lights has a bushy, ground-covering habit. The leaves, which emerge mid-green, turn colour in autumn. The funnel-shaped, moderately-scented, pale yellow flowers with a rich yellow central blotch, appear in spring; they mature to yellowish-white. Good in cottage gardens, informal gardens and in the partial shade of deciduous trees. Needs minimal pruning, apart from removing dead, damaged or crossing branches. It can be propagated by semi-ripe cuttings in late summer.
