Make a Scarf - explore working with yarns and create your own piece Explore Working with Yarns and create your own Scarf on this weekend workshop.  This workshop will teach you foundational weaving skills on a 4-shaft loom. At the end of the workshop you will be able to take home a lovely scarf.  Time: 10-4pm on Saturday and Sunday. 1hour lunch break (lunch not provided) Where: Arran Street East Craft & Design Studio, 43 Arran Street East, Dublin 7 The class will cover: Concept of weaving on a 4-shaft table loom. Basic threading and lifting plans. Design development. Using different yarns and weaves to create textures. Creating a finished piece of weaving. The looms will be set up and ready to weave on so that you can get to grips with learning about different types of weave structures and yarns.  The aim is to make a scarf to take home with you based on your design development.  All yarns and equipment are provided and sustainably sourced.   FAQs Who is this course for? This workshop will suit beginners looking for an introduction to working on loom, or those who have worked with frame looms before and would like to experience weaving on a 4-shaft loom. Is there an age limit for the Workshop? This course is generally for people aged 18 and above. A teenager over 15 may attend if they are accompanied by an adult.
