Join WineOnline.ie for our first in person  winemaker dinner on Thursday 1st December in Printworks at The Morrison Hotel, Dublin 1, featuring the wines from 10 estates in total: Vignobles K, Champagne Taittinger & Kopke Port There are just 40 seats available and we will be joined by Winemaker and estate director of esteemed and renowned estates in Bordeaux owned by Vignobles K, Jean Christophe Meyrou. We are ecstatic to finally bring you our first in person winemaker evening, after so many that we have had to host virtually. The wines and the winemaker make this one we could not have dreamed of before now.  It will be a wonderful evening of Taittinger Champagne, and joining us will be Champagne Taittinger's Irish brand ambassador . We will enjoy fine Bordeaux wines – Including Chateau Tour Saint Christophe which was recently reclassified in Bordeaux to become a Bordeaux Grand Crú Classé. The evening will begin with a Champagne Taittinger reception. Executive chef at the Morrison Hotel Sushil Kumar has paired an exquisite four course menu for the wines we will try on the evening, which include: Champagne Taittinger NV Chateau Le Rey Les Argileuses 2021 Chateau Le Rey Les Rocheuses 2020 Chateau Haut Brisson Saint Emilion Grand Cru 2018 Chateau Bellefont Belcier Saint Emilion Grand Cru Classé 2019 Chateau Tour Saint Christophe Saint Emilion Grand Classé 2019 Kopke 10 Year Old Tawny Port (Decanter Gold Medal 2021) Kopke 20 Year Old Tawny Port Casa Ferreinha 10 Year Old White Port The evening will finish off with some exceptional Kopke Ports and one or two surprise wines too. Jean Christophe Meyrou spent 18 months living in Ireland some years ago, and he has great memories of his time here. He is proud that all of his wines are available here and he is ready to welcome you in Bordeaux next time you visit. His company is Vignobles K and he is the overall estate director. The wines we will taste are over €65- €70 per bottle and the evening will showcase the true potential of fine wines from great vintages, 2018, 2019 and 2020. Expect a masterclass in wine from this part of Bordeaux. Jean Christophe wears his knowledge lightly. As a winemaker in over 7 areas of Bordeaux, he has an intimate knowledge of soils across the region, and he will educate us about what his secrets are for making Grand Cru Classé wines. We will discuss wines for Christmas amongst all things Bordeaux and Champagne.
