The Crafty Rock
We are delighted to have Mary Larkin, a textile artist from the Slieve Guillion area, return to The Crafty Rock to teach this workshop in which you will wet felt a colourful bowl. Wet felting is the process of making felt by applying friction, heat and water to a mass of loose fleece fibres or roving. These fibres are then worked into a pattern or design, essentially ‘painting’ with the fibres, to create 2D, or as in this class, a 3D piece of work.  This calming craft takes your mind away from the stresses of everyday life. Enjoy the repetitive motion of pulling, placing and needling your wool into place. Felting really is a craft you can lose yourself in and is the ideal project to try on a winter afternoon.   Date: 4th February  2023 Time: 2pm - 6pm Venue: The Church Hall, Dundalk Presbyterian Church, Jocelyn St. Dundalk Price: €50 Booking is essential either by prepaying for the course online or by paying a deposit of €30 in the shop and the balance on the commencement of the course. Please note deposits are non-refundable unless a replacement is found.  Please note a minimum of 5 participants is required for the class to form. Price includes all materials and refreshments
