This wine is named after the starfish. Also known as asteria. The vines from which the grapes are from are grown in an area of land that contains fossilised starfish in the limestone rocks under the ground. The area of land was historically - 70 million years ago - under the sea. This terroir has produced some wonderful grapes which have created a wine that is wonderfully well balanced. Tasting Note: There are notes of blackcurrant fruit, and an underlying hint of minerality, a little bit chalky in terms of sensation in the mouth, it is wonderfully smooth, with lovely fruit content and a great but subtle presence of oak, that results in a really nicely balanced wine.
